Summary:

New from #1 New York Times bestselling author Meg Cabot, a dark, fantastical story about this world . . . and the underworld.

Though she tries returning to the life she knew before the accident, Pierce can't help but feel at once a part of this world, and apart from it. Yet she's never alone . . . because someone is always watching her. Escape from the realm of the dead is impossible when someone there wants you back.

But now she's moved to a new town. Maybe at her new school, she can start fresh. Maybe she can stop feeling so afraid.

Only she can't. Because even here, he finds her. That's how desperately he wants her back. She knows he's no guardian angel, and his dark world isn't exactly heaven, yet she can't stay away . . . especially since he always appears when she least expects it, but exactly when she needs him most.

But if she lets herself fall any further, she may just find herself back in the one place she most fears: the Underworld.

My Thoughts:

How long has it been since I read a book, not a text book and not a manga, I believe over two month. Don't forget that I'm writing this review way before I'm putting it live! Anyway, it's my second time reading the boo and the truth is, I reread the book because I started updating the facebook page as well as all of my other social profiles. So now if you go to the blog's FB page of my pinterest account you can find everything from book reviews to manga recommendations.

But let me get back to the book and not bore you with my promotion of the blog and its social platforms. I love this book! It's one of those which I have on my buy-the-paperback-one-you-settle-down list. To say the truth, not matter how much my obsession with vampires was at a time, my obsession with mythology never ends. I'm always curious how the author tries to use the persephone myth as a basis to the book. This was one of the first Persephone myth book that I read way back in my high school, and let's be honest, I can't remember any other book that I loved so much in the genre. Well, if we count Everneath as a subgenre of the myth than it's a second book, however, Goddess Test didn't top my interest.

Anyway, let me introduce you to the book as well as the characters. As soon as i started reading it, I remembered why I loved the series so much. the writing style is just fantastic, it flows so easily and a good sense of humour made me chuckle all the way to the end of the book Meet Pierce Oliviera, your not so typical high-school student. Why did I stress her not so typicalness>. Well, she died and came back to life. But don't think that it's so easy for her. She has rage issues, which are not truly hers, as there's the keeper of the dead himself stalking her. Do you feel her? I doubt it, but do try to imagine what she's going through, with her parents' divorce and moving to a place called Island of Bones.

Are you ready to plunge yourslef into the mystery and help Pierce find her way out or maybe in the whole mess that her life has become? You'll have fun as well as maybe cry a bit and oh, don't be discouraged if at one point you'll also start seeing red from anger. Enjoy it and don't forget to share your thoughts below! Stay tuned for more reviews as well as promos! on't miss your next favourite book or manga! Happy reading!

XOXO
